Provide the critical numbers and describe the open intervals for which the following function is increasing and decreasing:

 

f(x)=2x³+3x²-12

You MUST be able to find the critical numbers yourself; the differentiation is easy, giving you a quadratic, which you set to 0 and thus obtain its roots--those are the C.P.

 

The rest of this is easy, just do as your teacher and your book say to do. You're in Calculus and so a large measure of self reliance is expected.
