Rewrite the equation of the circle given in general form into standard form and provide the coordinates for the center and the measurement of the radius:

2x²+2y²-12x+8y+20=0

First, divide by two; second, complete the square in x terms & in y terms.

 

Then you will have (x-h)² + (y-k)² = r²

from which you conclude, as you must have done in Algebra II, that radius is r and center is(h,k).
