Distance question

An airplane travels
2764km
against the wind in
4
hours and
3364km
with the wind in the same amount of time. What is the rate of the plane in still air and what is the rate of the wind?

Note:  Another way to do this problem:
Since the time is the same the distance travelled in still air is the average of the two
distances, so we can easily see how far the plane would travel in still air in 4 hours.
*******************************************************
(2764+3364)/2 = 3064km

Using d=rt

3064 = 4p
p = 3064/4 = 766 kph

Then use the same equations as in answer to find wind speed:
p+w = 841
p-w = 691
