Hello Susan,
A p level is just a probability in decimal form, so you only have to take the percentage divided by 100%. For example, if the percent chance of an event happening is 25.3%, then:
p=(25.3%)/(100%)=.253
You can also work this the opposite direction. If you have p=.1216, then:
(.1216)*(100%)=12.16%
So a p of .1216 means that there is a 12.16% chance of the even happening.
Also note that as the percentage of certain can never be less than 0 or more than 100%, must always be between 0 and 1.
