To begin with, when a problems has the words...'how much'...it is asking for a specific value, in the case of this problems, it is asking a specific amount. As it applies to this specific problem, there is some information missing. The problem does not give you the amount the person earns for every hour or during the 12.4 hours she works. 

With the information you provide, it would be very difficult to calculate how much money she is expected to earn if you don't know how much she earns.
