Function with 3 fixed points

How would I build a function which has 3 fixed points. The hint given is to use a piecewise function.

With three fixed points, you might have a parabola. Or something else.

Your question is fairly vague. Without other desired factors (attributes) for the function, it's best to simply say that the function is defined by its 3 ordered pairs. PERIOD.

 

Something like f(x) = 7 when x=0, f(x)=3 when x=1, f(x)=-2 when x=5 [which is a piecewise function] is pretty useless.
