Find two consecutive even integers such that the smaller added to five times the larger gives a sum of 34.

2nd consecutive even integer = x+2

 

x + 5(x+2 ) = 34

 

x + 5x + 10= 34

6x =24

 

x= 4

 

So integers are 4, 6
