Ordered pair

"The given ordered pair belongs to a quadratic function whose graph is symmetric with respect to the line with the given equation. Name another ordered pair that the function must therefore include."

#1 (-2,-1): x=-3

 

I am away that (-2,-1) is the vertex.

I also know x=-3 is the axis of symmetry.

 

However, I don't know how I am supposed to figure this out, or even what I am supposed to do. Please help.

The "mirror" or axis of symmetry is x=-3.

If (-2,-1) is on the parabola, then so is (-4,-1)

Think of it like this: (-2,-1) is one square away
from the symmetry axis mirror. So the reflection
must be one square the opposite direction.
