if c construction workers can bulid a house in d days, how many days will it take m construction workers to build three identical houses? Assume the work rate for each construction worker is the same.

Answer 1

Rate of work for 1 house , in  d  days,  by  1  employees (workers) =  1/cd   house / emp-days

For  c  employees   =  ( 1/cd ) c  =  1/d  house / days  .... one house in d days

So for  m  workers  the rate is  m/cd  house / days

Thus it takes  cd/m   days / house.
