square tiles about ½m by ½m might be a nice choice--if such standard size exists.
then 16 tiles by 24 tiles would cover the floor well, and no cutting of odd size tiles would be necessary, probably.
If smaller tiles are ordered, there's more labor required (think of all that grout).
"Optimum" isn't very well defined. A single tile 8 m by 12 m might be envisioned, but there are some real practical problems such as it's pretty hard to get inside the room, and it weighs too much.
