Stack the two equations and add:
3x2 + 4y2 = 9
3x2 - 4y2 = 9
6x2 = 18, so x2 = 3 and x = ±√3
plugging this x value into either of the other equations yields y = 0, so there are two solutions,
(-√3, 0) and (+√3, 0)
