    the x in the g(x) function  with f(x)

 

g(x) = 7x - 9   and set x = f(x) = 6x² + 6

       = 7[6x² + 6] - 9

       = [7•6 x² + 7•6] - 9

       = [42x² +42] - 9

       = 42x² + 33
