Can you solve this maths problem?

3 green notes and 8 blue notes are worth 46. 8 green notes and 3 blue notes are worth 1. How much are 2 green notes and 3 blue notes worth?

Two equations 2 unknowns

 

3g+8b=46

8g+3b=1   b=73/11 and g=-26/11

 

so 2g+3b=2(-26/11)+3(73/11)=-52/11 + 219/11=167/11
