So dependent and independent variables depend on each experiment you are conducting.
With a Solar Oven your main goal is to build essentially a oven that will cook something (in the case when I did it S'mores)
Our Independent variable is what we are going to change and monitor to see how it will effect our dependent variable.
Let us take in the case of a solar oven the angle at which we cook using the oven, the type of insulation used (Example being tinfoil).
We unfortunately can not control the weather of the area in which you use the oven so that will come into play.
The dependent variables for this situation would be how fast your items cook, what temperature they were cooked to, and anything related to the product of using the oven in a scientific environment.
