If this is a TRUE/FALSE question, I would have to answer FALSE, because it is not generally TRUE. For example, magnetic field lines can converge, such as at the south pole of a bar magnet. They can be parallel, such as inside a solenoid. Sometimes they do curve away from from each other, such as at the north pole of a bar magnet.
