Hi Yancie,
You are dealing with factorials. ! after an integer number means that multiply all the integers less than or equal to the number ending at 1.
Then, 10! = 10*9*8*7*6*5*4*3*2*1
12!/6! = 12*11*10*9*8*7*6! / 6! = 12*11*10*9*8*7 (6!s cancel out)
