How many liters of 10% and 50% alcohol solution must be mixed to get 15 liters of 26%?

y = liters of 50%

 

x + y = 15

 

10x/100 + 50y/100 = 26(15)/100

10x + 50y = 26(15)

x + 5y = 13(3) = 39

 

x + 5y = 39

-x - y = -15

y = 6 liters of 50%

 

x = 15 - y = 9 liters of 10%

 20 -X = liters of 50%
