If the pizza has the same shape as the circular pan, then its area is that of a circle of radius 12" because radius = half of diameter.    Area answer: pi(radius²) = 144pi sq in which you may want to convert to decimal.  There's a "pi" key on the calculator; use it or 3.1416 at least, for decent accuracy.
