for some value of x the sequence 2x+1, x+11, 4x+5 forms the first three terms of an arithmetic sequence.

I am expected to show the work to find:
a) find the value of x.
b) determine the numerical value of the 15th term of this sequence.
c) find the sum of the first 30 terms of this sequence. show your analysis.

thank you for that hint.  I solved this and see that x=4. are there formulas now to use to find b) and c)?

The three terms are 9, 15, 21. The common difference is 6.
an = a1+ (n - 1)d
a15 = 9 + (15 - 1)6
Sn = (n/2)(2a1 + (n - 1)d))
S30 = (30/2)(2(9) + (29)(6))
These two formula should have been presented to you!
