The human body maintains homeostasis: internal stable environment with right pH in right organ based on the functional needs.
For instance, stomach would secrete acid in response to the food that required acidic pH for digestion. Acid secretion would stop as soon as the food is digested and stomach is empty.
Similarly, muscle contraction and conduction of nerve impulse also involve chemical change including alteration of pH and negative charge as well as heat generation. The human body will not be neutral but it would maintain homeostasis.
Hope you get the point.
