A farm supply store sells a variety of treat balls for small and large animals. Martha wants to purchase a ball that can hold 1437 cubic centimeters of treats. What is the diameter of the ball she should purchase?

Volume of a sphere = (4/3) * pi * r^3

 

 

r^3 = (1437*3) / 4*pi

 

 

r^3 = 343.05

 

r = 7 

 

Diameter of the ball she should purchase = 14 cm
