The volume of a sphere is (4/3)(pi)(r3), where r = the radius of the sphere and pi = 3.14159...  Pi (not pie) is a Greek letter but the symbol for it on this font looks more like an n than the Greek letter pi.  So usually we just write out "pi" rather than use the symbol here.
