Equivalent expressions

Three functions are shown: f(x)= 4x^2+7x-9. G(x)=-2x^2-4x+6. H(x)= 1/4(x+1)^2. What is an equivalent expression for f(x)-g(x)+h(x)?

Answer 1

Just add the f and H expressions, and from that subtract the G expression.  In other words, you will combine 'like' terms and get a new expression as the result.

 

Note: you should not refer to these functions by varying lower case and upper case letters!
