college algebra velocity

A ball is thrown upward with an initial velocity of 64ft/sec from a height of eight feet. The function; s(t)=-16^2+64t+8 ;gives the height of the ball t seconds after release.
Determine the time when the ball is at maximum height, and find that height.

If you decide to use the Second Derivative Test, remember that when the curve is concave up, you have a minimum point. When the curve is concave down, you have a maximum point. If s''(t) = 0, then the Second Derivative Test is inconclusive, and you must use the First Derivative Test.
