What is the equation of the axis of symetery of the parabola 

y-2=1/2(x+3)²?

Answer 1

y - 2 = (1/2)(x + 3)²

y = (1/2)(x + 3)² + 2

This is vertex form. The vertex/axis of symmetry is at x = -3.
