The vertex of a quadratic equation is (h,k) where h=-b/2a. Since a=-3,b=-12 h=-2. You would then substitute -2 in for x since h is the x value of the coordinate pair. When you do this you get k=14 so the vertex is the coordinate pair (-2,14).
