Let x = number of hours it takes older pump
Let y = number of hours it takes newer pump
Pump x + pump y take 5 hours
5(1/x + 1/y) = 1
x = 15
5(1/15 + 1/y) = 1
1/15 + 1/y = 1/5
1/y = 1/5 - 1/15
1/y = 3/15 - 1/15
1/y = 2/15
cross multiply
2y = 15
y = 7.5 hours
