The Quadratic Formula says x = -b + √(b² - 4ac)

We have x = 2 + √(4 - 4(-12))
                   _______________ = 2 + √52
                             6                   ________
                                                       6
 
= 2 + 2√13
   ________
         6
 
= 1 + √13
   _______
        3
 
All you have to do now is find each of these roots to the nearest tenth. Note: √13 = 3.6 to the nearest tenth
