Blake, You should be able to compute this on your own. 6 dogs (the 0th generation)* 4 puppies each = how many total puppies (1st generation)? Then take (1/2) of that, and let that (1/2) have 4 puppies each (2nd generation). Now (and this is the hardest part to remember to do, probably?), add the 0th generation dogs, all the 1st generation dogs (i.e. not just the (1/2), but the whole), and the 2nd generation dogs (and assume that none of them has killed and eaten any other).
This sounds like a "puppy mill" operation, by the way ....
