How do I calculate annual salary when I work a 24/48 schedule?

Question

I work a 24 hour shift with 48 hours off between shifts. I need to be able to calculate my annual salary based off an houly rate. Additionally any amount of time over 40 hours a week gets paid time and a half.

 

Unrelated to the details above I also need to calculate annual salary on an hourly wage where time and a half is paid after 8 hours of work with the same 24/48 schedule.

24/48 hrs shift means you work every 3rd day. Disregard Public Holidays, Sundays which could be be paid at higher rate, depends on the terms you agreed with your employer. I do not believe you are entitled for any overtime as you work arranged shift 24/48. Again depends on your employer. Anyway if you work every 3rd day of a year you work: 365/3 = 121 and 2/3 of a day, in hrs it would be: (121*24) + (2/3*24) = 2904 +16 = 2920 hrs/a year. 

Multiply by your hourly rate  and get your yearly earnings. If you are paid $ 10/hr you'll make $29200/year.
