First, we have to start by distributing the middle operator to all the terms in the second expression. This simplifies the two expressions into one long one:
-4 + v2 - (-3v2) - 3
-4 + v2 + 3v2 - 3
At this point, we can arrange the expression to group by like variables:
v2 + 3v2 - 3 - 4
Finally, we can perform all the necessary operators to reach our final simplified state:
4v2 - 3 - 4
4v2 - 3 + (-4)
4v2 - 7 is the simplified result
I hope this helps!
