You need to come up with systems of equations. 3 unknown variables so you will need at least 3 equations.

1.) shanika purchased half as many shares of stock B than A

so B = (1/2)A

2.) shanika purchased half as many shares of stock C than B

so C = (1/2)B

3.) the total cost of all was 672. 

So 3.50*A+9.00*B+10.00*C = 672

 

 

now plug 1 and 2 into 3.

3.50*A+9.00*(1/2)A+10.00*(1/2)*B

from 1 you know B so plug in

3.50*A+9.00*(1/2)A+10.00*(1/2)(1/2)A = 672

 

solve for A. Once you have A plug into 2 for B. Once you have B plug into 3 for C
