The first four terms of a sequence are 500, 300, 180, and 108. Determine the value of the 16th term

How does sequencing work because I really don't understand it

You accidentally added an extra zero behind the decimal point
when you retyped the equation.  r = 0.6  not  0.06
 
a16 = 500(0.06)15 should be   a16 = 500(0.6)15
