Hi! The trick to this problem is to find the average number of boxes one person can pack in one day. You know that six people can pack 1500 boxes in 4 days, so you can divide by 4 to find out how many boxes 6 people can pack in one day. 1500 boxes/4 days = 375 boxes per day*, so the six people are getting, on average, 375 boxes packed every day.
Now if 6 people are packing 375 boxes per day, then how many boxes, on average, is each person packing per day? 375/6 = 62.5, so each person is packing, on average, 62.5 boxes per day.
Now if each person can pack about 62.5 boxes per day, then multiply that by 8 to find how many boxes 8 people can pack per day. (62.5 x 8 = 500)
Now if 8 people can pack 500 boxes per day, you can multiply that by 6 to find out how many boxes they could pack in 6 days. (500 x 6 = 3000)
