Hello Richard,
Thank you for considering using WyzAnt for your tutoring needs. Tutors typically set their hourly rate based upon several factors. Student feedback and ratings make a tutor more valuable than someone just starting out.
As a student you select a tutor after reading his or her profile and their proposal to you if you posted your job or you read their reply back to you if you singled them out with a request.
Whatever the rate that is posted is that is what you pay. No add-ons. Depending upon a tutor's number of hours experience determines which percent of their hourly rate WyzAnt keeps with the remaining percent going directly to the tutor.
If a tutor successfully solicits a student to use WyzAnt, the percent the tutor receives is considerably higher.
Tutors may bill in increments of hours and your rate would be pro-rated accordingly.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your first tutoring experience.
