in case one outcome is to be selected, there are 2^n events that can be formed of a finite sample space. what if 2 or more than 2 outcomes are selected, how can we determine the no. of all possible events that can be formed?

If there are n outcomes in your sample space, where n is finite, there are n events consisting of a single outcome (not 2ⁿ events). The total number of events possible is 2ⁿ, which includes events consisting of 0 outcomes, 1 outcome, ..., or all n outcomes. In general, there are nCr events consisting of r outcomes.
