Given 4 numbers, the first is 4 less than half the second, the third is 80% of the quantity six more than the second, and the fourth is 8 more than the third. When the sum of twice the first and half the fourth is decreased by the second the result is 10 less than a third. What are the integers?

.5s - 4 = the first

.8(s + 6) = .8s + 4.8 = the 3rd

.8s + 12.8 = the 3rd

 

s - 8 + .4s + 6.4 = .8s - 5.2

.4s = 3.6

s = 9

 

.5(9) - 4 = .5 = the first

.8(9) + 4.8 = 12 = the third

12 + 8 = 20 = the fourth
