BACK UP 8 steps from a9. You'll be subtracting 8 times negative 6, which amounts to adding 48.

We are going from the 10th term to the 30th term:
With the difference d=-6
we go 20 steps to get from the 10th term to the 30th.
-30 + 20(-6) = -30 -120 = -150

The 30th term is -150
