help me solve (4 minus 3 sqrt2)^2

would you help me simplify and  solve (4 - 3√2)^2.

 

would I start with this?

 

(4-3√2)^2 · (4-3√2)^2

(4 -3√2)*(4 - 3√2) = 16 - 24*√2 + 18 = 34 + 24*√2

 

Don't let the radicals scare you, L.  You can treat this the same as any other expansion.
