i have tried to work out this problem and i can not find the result

What we need to do is use the rise-over run formula:

(y₂ - y₁) / (x₂ - x₁)

So that gives us:

(1 - 4) / (0 - (-2))

-3 / (0 + 2)

-3/2

 

So our slope is -³/₂
