Jaime is helping her dad sheer their 36 sheep. Her dad sheered twice as many as Jaime and together they had sheered 2/3 of the sheep before lunch. After lunch her mother and brother come out to help finish. If each person sheers an equal number of the remaining sheep, how many sheep will Jaime have sheered all together? Is the solution rational or irrational number?
Together they sheared 24 sheep before lunch, so 12 remained. Dad did 16, Jaime did 8.
After lunch, the four people each sheared 3 sheep.
So Jaime's total for the day would be 8+3 = 11.
