i'm not sure what this question is asking

parallel lines
 
provide an equation for a line parallel to the line given by y=4x-2
 
and perpendicular line
 
if a line contains the x-intercept 4 and the y intercept -2 find the slope of any perpendicular line

Note: the y-intercept is the point where x=0.  For the given line, it is (0,-2).  [slope=1/2 and slope of parallel line=-2]
