A man is traveling at 60mph for the first part of his trip and then decreased his speed to 45 mph for the second part. If the entire trip lasted 7 hours, and the total distance was 387mi, how far did the man travel at the faster speed?

387 = 60t + 315 - 45t

72 = 60t - 45t

72 = 15t

The fast man traveled for 4.8 hours and 60 mph, or 288 miles.
