equivalent to (4 + 6i)2?

How would i do this?

But that is if you multiply by 2, I did it for raising the complex number to the power of 2.
  You need to simplify your complex number to another complex number.
 
  2 ( 4 + 6i) = 8 + 6i
 
Normally ,if it is multiplied by 2 it is written this way. The problem seems to be raised to the power of 2
