1/(1-cosβ)+1/(1+cosβ) = [1+cosβ+1-cosβ]/[(1-cosβ)(1+cosβ)]

 

                                 = 2/(1-cos²β)

 

                                 = 2/sin²β

 

                                 = 2csc²β

 

                                 = 2(1+cot²β)

 

                                 = 2 + 2cot²β
