Goooooood morning, Candice!!
Let's start by flipping the second fraction. We ALWAYS flip the fraction that follows the division symbol b/c it's easier to work with multiplication than dealing with division!
Now we have the problem written as....
(2a2 - 7a + 6) / (a2 - 4) • (3a2 + 8a + 4) / (6a2 - 5a - 6)
We can now factor each numerator and denominator.....
(2a - 3)(a - 2) (3a + 2)(a + 2)
---------------- • --------------------
(a - 2)(a + 2) (3a + 2)(2a - 3)
Reduce where possible and what you will notice is that EVERYTHING reduces.
This means our answer is 1.
Don't you just love when this happens?!!!
Have a super day today!!!
