 Answer options:

Technically, the problem should have requested "find the zeros of P(x)" or find the roots of the equation P(x) = 0.

 

I'll do that, but I do suggest that this advice be passed on to whomever wrote the question.

 

Since the polynomial is given in factored form, its zeros must occur whenever any factor is zero.

 

Solution {-7, -3, 4}  i.e. choice 1.
