When you buy 4 medium puizzas for $5 each, you spend $20 and have $25 left.  You have to spend $8 on each large, so you can buy 3 of them.  That uses up $24 and so you have $1 left, but that is not enough to spend on a large or a medium for that matter, so you are done with the pizza buying.
