You can change the sign of each term in the second polynomial, then add like terms.
(-3w3 + 7w2 - 11w - 6) - (w3 - 3w2 + w - 1)
= -3w3 + 7w2 - 11w - 6 - w3 + 3w2 - w + 1
= -4w3 + 10w2 - 12w - 5
This does not match any of the choices you gave, but it's probably d) that's correct. (You may have mistyped the exponent on the second term).
