2x(x-4)-x(x-3)=14 is NOT the type of problem where you can use the Zero Product Property because neither side of the equation is zero.
So you must multiply out the left side, producing a polynomial of degree 3, which will equal 14.
Then subtract 14 from each side, giving a new polynomial that equals 0.
Now it will be time for you to factor the left side, and if you can do that, you can then use the Zero Product Property.
